Understanding how a session works on Tutorpeers can help you make the most of your tutoring experience. Here's a detailed guide on what to expect and how to navigate through a session.
To get familiar with the session features, use our demo mode. This allows you to conduct a fake session, test your webcam and microphone, and explore all the available tools.
Step 1: Access Demo Mode
Login, click on your profile and select "Interactive Demo" from the dropdown list or go directly to Interactive Demo
Step 2: Join Screen
- You'll first see a join screen with session details.
- Here, you can check and configure your devices, ensuring your microphone and camera work properly.
- You can also select a virtual background.
Step 3: Join the Session
Click the "Join Session" button to enter the session mode.

Whiteboard Features:

You’ll see a whiteboard equipped with various tools to draw, insert images, and create tables.
- You have the ability to undo and redo actions, making it easier to manage your content.

Assets Tab:

The second tab on the whiteboard allows you to upload and share files with the participant.

Camera and Audio Controls:

On the right side, you can see your camera view and control your microphone and camera.
- Options to turn on/off your virtual background and share your screen are also available.
- Click the cog icon to change and check your device settings.

Participant Interaction:
- You will see your participant’s webcam feed and can communicate via the chat box located under the webcam feed.
- Use the chat to exchange information and share links.
- The top right of the screen shows the session time and includes buttons to end the session or report issues.

Sparky AI Assistant:

Tutors have access to Sparky AI, which can assist during lessons by providing useful information and creating tasks, homework, or lesson plans.
